Torri del Benaco: Olive Oil Festival and Slow Food Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oils

Attending an event that celebrates the quality and culture of extra virgin olive oil is always a special occasion, but this year it was even more so.
In the splendid setting of Torri del Benaco, on Lake Garda, we took part in the 2026 edition of the Oilive Oil Festival (Festa dell’Olio): a rich and varied event featuring a mix of tastings, talks, and tasting stations along the lakefront.

Joota Awards: Japan’s most important extra virgin olive oil competition

The JOOTA AWARDS Tokyo International Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition involves top professional tasters from around the world examining competing products in a blind sensory analysis. Japan is currently the fourth largest importer of olive oil in the world, which makes the competition very interesting on an international level.
This year we won both the Joota Awards EXCELLENCE AWARD and the Joota Awards CHEF’S AWARD (special prize awarded on the recommendation of chefs) with our two mono-cultivars.

We have always directly cared for the packaging of our extra virgin olive oils to ensure that they keep their flavour and nutrients intact. Vitamin E and polyphenols in particular must be protected from both light and direct contact with oxygen.
As of this year, 3-litre bag-in-boxes will be available, a truly effective new system that will allow you to store your oil perfectly and easily and always enjoy it to its full potential.

Olive Japan 2016 awards gold to all our oils

apan Oil is the country’s most important olive oil event, which hosts an international competition organised by the Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OSAJ), Japan’s only professional organisation for the training and certification of olive oil experts, independent of any trade body.

The jury, consisting of 21 experts from around the world, awarded all our oils the ‘Gold Medal’ in the 2016 edition.

This year, we participated in the XXX fair together with other wine and oil producers from our area. It was a truly unique opportunity for us to meet the Japanese reality, a chance to get to know their market, and to put ourselves in direct contact with Japanese people and their culture.
In all these facets, we found great interest and appreciation for Italy and its flavours.
